In Q4 2021, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Ecuador showcased varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared during this period.

inDrive. Save on city rides observed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 2.6K in late September and peaking at around 3.4K in late October. The number of weekly active users also climbed, beginning at 45.4K and reaching a high of 62.9K by mid-December, before slightly dropping to 53.1K at the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate throughout Q4, with weekly downloads ranging between 1.7K and 2.2K. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 43.6K and peaking at 53.6K in mid-December, before dipping back to 43.6K by the end of December.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 1.7K in late September and dropping to just under 1K by the end of December. Despite this, the app's active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 12K to 14K range throughout the quarter.

Cabify saw moderate weekly downloads, starting at 575 in late September and reaching a high of 708 in late November. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 8.5K in late September and ending at 7.6K by the end of December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively low download numbers, ranging from 190 to 298 per week. The number of active users remained stable, starting at 4.3K and ending at around 4K by the end of the quarter.
